Accessibility statement

The publisher wants this website to be usable by everyone, and aims for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA.

What has been done

• Semantic HTML with one main landmark, a skip link, headings in order and labelled navigation regions.
• Text and background colours at a contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and controls; information is never carried by colour alone.
• All controls reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline; the menu, filters and comparison table work without a mouse.
• Every photograph has a text alternative describing what it shows, including where it is a street view rather than the building itself.
• Text can be resized to 200 per cent and the page reflows at 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling.
• Animation is limited and respects the “reduce motion” system setting.
• No content flashes, no time limits, no audio.

Known limits

• The “open now” and distance features depend on JavaScript; without it, the hours table and the address on each page give the same information.
• Directions open in Google Maps, whose accessibility the publisher does not control.
• The comparison table is wide; on narrow screens it scrolls horizontally inside its container.

Physical access at the venues

Venue pages show “step-free access” only where the operator’s own page lists it; where it is absent the operator has not published it, which is not the same as its absence. Contact the venue before travelling if step-free access, hearing loops or accessible parking matter to your visit.
